My Lessons Arrived in 3 Days!My "expanded edition" which includes 20 high quality DVDs, 5 CDs, and a concise, jam packed 107 page text book and guide, was at my door in 3 days.I was impressed with the quality, and knew good things were in store for me. The case is attractive as well as functional, and looks great in the bookcase.
What You Will Find Inside Learn and Master GuitarInside is a vinyl DVD holder that houses the 20 high quality DVDs and the 5 Jam Along CDs. There are a few empty spaces for any additional DVDs or CDs that you may have, or for the Guitar Student Edition Upgrade, which you can use to teach your kids or students.
The lessons are traditional in style and will provide you with one to two years worth of lessons. You will be playing guitar long before you complete the entire lessons. You'll have fun playing simple songs along with a band on the jamalong CDs after a few hours and should be able to play many songs in a few months. Of course this will vary depending upon your own practice schedule. The Learn and Master Guitar DVDs The DVD's are premium quality and can be used wherever you have a DVD player, making this learning system more portable than ebooks or subscription based websites that can only be accessed online.The DVD quality is excellent. The video is clear, and has the music notation and the guitar tablature for the lessons clearly displayed at the bottom of your screen, and chord diagrams at the side! The instructor, Steve Krenz, uses acoustic and electric guitars in the video lessons, and this helps relate the lessons to your own guitar. After all, you play both types of guitars using the same notes and techniques. Steve has a very relaxed, coherent teaching style, and he doesn't bounce back and forth, remembering this and that, like I've seen on other learn to play guitar videos. He gives a great deal of detail when he speaks, so you'll want to hit the pause and backup buttons a lot. It would have been nice to have lessons like these when I learned to play; I would have learned much faster. The 5 Jamalong CDsThese CDs really help make learning guitar fun.They are played along with the lesson book from the first song, and feature the guitar part on one channel, and backup music on the other channel, which allows you to listen to either part separately. The music is clear and very precise rhythmically, and helps develop your sense of timing quickly.
